Weekly Class Visits
The Lake City Elementary Media Center operates on a flexible schedule. Please schedule your class to visit the Media Center each week by signing up for a 30 minute time period. You must sign up one week in advance. The Media Center is available to collaborate with classroom curriculum and integrate technology into the lesson upon request.
Student Check Outs
Before students can begin checking out books, they will participate in an orientation class. All teachers will sign up at the circulation desk in the Media Center to bring their classes for a 30 minute time period.
The Media Center is open from 7:15am to 2:45pm for student checkout. To check out books, students must present their library passes with the barcode intact Students may visit 2 at a time during instructional time. Students in grades K-2 can check out 1 book at a time while students in grades 3-5 can check out 2 books during a visit. A student with an overdue book, lost book or damaged book can not check out any additional material until the item has been returned or the issue resolved.
